BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
At SMS, students have countless ways to get involved, deepen friendships, and have fun. Our extracurricular clubs and activities let students pursue their passions, whether it's music, sports, or community service. Creative clubs like writing, drama, choir, art, and music, alongside Green Club, GSA, Peer Tutoring, and Outreach, provide avenues for personal growth and making a difference. Weekends are filled with outdoor adventures like hiking, kayaking, skiing, and whale watching, or fun activities like mini golf and trampoline parks. SMS students also embark on trips to Canadian destinations like Tofino and international cities like Paris, Beijing, and Seattle, embracing new experiences and sights everywhere they go.

Each year, students in Grades 7-12 embark on a week-long adventure to Strathcona Park Lodge, where they explore the diverse landscapes of Vancouver Island, from the ocean to the mountains.
